Collision investigation leads to impaired arrest Thursday night

A Guelph woman was charged with impaired Thursday night after a vehicle reportedly rear-ended another vehicle near the Eramosa Road/Meyer Drive intersection.

Guelph police say that around 5 p.m. they were called about a collision.

An vehicle had reportedly been rear-ended while stopped at a red light.

The male driver of the vehicle hit was subsequently transported to the Guelph General Hospital for treatment of neck and back pain.

Police spoke with the woman and she subsequently failed a roadside breath test and was arrested.

Her driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days, and her vehicle was impounded for seven days.

The 58-year-old will appear in court next month.
