At approximately 4:30 a.m. on Nov. 28, a van with three passengers struck a utility pole near the intersection of Speedvale Avenue and Victoria Road.
The collision knocked down the utility pole and affected traffic for a number of hours before Hydro staff could repair the damage.
The 51-year-old man who was driving the van received non-life threatening injuries and was charged with careless driving.
