On the morning of Nov. 6, 2019, an adult male was involved in a motor vehicle collision near the intersection of Speedvale Avenue East and Victoria Road North in the City of Guelph.
Police attended the scene and after speaking with the male, demanded he provide a breath sample into a roadside approved screening device. The male failed the test and was arrested. A search incident to arrest revealed a small bag of cocaine.
A 54-year-old Guelph male has been charged with:
• Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration
• Possession of a controlled substance
• Careless driving
He will appear in court on Nov. 19, 2019.
