On May 28, 2018 at approximately 9:25 a.m., Guelph Police received a call from the public about an elderly man who appeared confused and disoriented in the area of Speedvale Avenue and Silvercreek Parkway. Another concerned citizen also called reporting the same elderly gentleman. Guelph Police attended to the area and located an 80-year-old male and assisted him by taking him home.

Guelph Police would like to remind family and friends of Project Lifesaver. Project Lifesaver Guelph Wellington assists caregivers and responds to the challenges of keeping loved ones safe when they wander due to Alzheimer's, Autism or other forms of cognitive impairment. Participants wear a battery-operated bracelet that sends an FM radio signal 24 hours a day. It even works in areas such as buildings and forests. For more information on Project Lifesaver, please visit our website.
