What started as a call of concern regarding a disabled vehicle in a live lane of Hwy. 401 ended with a variety of charges against two people, including a 42–year-old Guelph man.
OPP officers were dispatched to the disabled vehicle call near Woodstock at about 11 p.m. on April 4. After assessment at the scene and further investigation, a police news release states two people were arrested and charged.
A Guelph man is accused of impaired driving, over 80 and driving while under suspension, as well as fraud over $5,000, fraud under $5,000, possession of identification documents, possession of forged documents and possession of credit cards.
A Burlington man, 48, faces the same fraud and possession charges, along with resisting a peace officer and being intoxicated in a public place.
