Downtown disturbance leads to drug charge

Police were advised that a male involved in the altercation was believed to have a weapon in his hand

On May 27, 2020 at approximately 2:41 p.m. Guelph Police receive a report of a disturbance on Wyndham Street in downtown Guelph.  Police were advised that a male involved in the altercation was believed to have a weapon in his hand.  Police arrived on scene and upon locating the male discovered he was in possession of a small amount of methamphetamine.

A 33 year old Guelph male has been charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance and will appear in Guelph Court on Sept. 11, 2020.  The investigation into the weapon continues.
