On June 9, at approximately 1 a.m., a R.I.D.E. program was set up in the area of Wyndham Street South.
A vehicle was observed leaving the downtown area at a high rate of speed before coming to an abrupt stop to speak with officers.
The female driver was asked to conduct a roadside test and the screening device registered a fail.
The 22 year old Oshawa female was arrested for impaired driving. She was transported to the Guelph Police Service and was subsequently released on a promise to appear.
