Driver charged with impaired after crashing into Highway 6 ditch

TOWNSHIP OF MAPLETON - On Friday, April 5, 2019 at approximately 7 p.m., members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police responded to a single motor vehicle collision on Highway 6 near Wellington Road 17 involving a possible impaired driver.

Officers arrived at the scene and observed a vehicle in the ditch with the male driver.  

Officers spoke with the male and determined that he had consumed alcohol. A Roadside Screening Device test was conducted which resulted in a fail. He was transported to nearby OPP Operation Centre for further testing.

Jason Hall, 44-years-old of Fergus has been charged with operation while impaired and fail to comply with demand contrary to the Criminal Code Ontario Court of Justice on May 1, 2019 to answer to the charges.

TOWNSHIP OF CENTRE WELLINGTON - On Tuesday, April 9, 2019 at approximately 10 a.m., members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police responded to a report of a possible impaired driver on MacDonald Square in Elora.

Officers located the blue pick-up truck pulling out of a parking lot in Fergus and stopped the motor vehicle. While speaking with the female, police determined that she had consumed alcohol. A roadside screening device (ASD) test was conducted which resulted in a fail. She was transported to nearby OPP Operation Centre for further testing.

Susan Conley, 55-years-old of Fergus has been charged with operation while impaired - 80 plus contrary to the Criminal Code. She is scheduled to appear at the Guelph Ontario Court of Justice on May 14, 2019 to answer to the charge.
