A Guelph woman faces drug and property charges after a warrant was executed at her residence on Friday.

At the end of 2020, members of the Guelph Police Service High Enforcement Action Team (HEAT) began an investigation after receiving information about alleged drug trafficking by tenants of an apartment unit on Imperial Road North near Speedvale Avenue West.

Last Friday, members of HEAT and the Guelph Police Service Tactics and Rescue Unit executed the warrant, seizing a small amount of fentanyl as well as several bank cards and documents in various names. A 32-year-old Guelph female is charged with possession of a controlled substance, eight counts of possession of stolen property and possession of an identity document. She will appear in court May 7.

The investigation is ongoing.
