Motorists should expect to see increased traffic enforcement during the Thanksgiving weekend as the Guelph Police Service participates in the Canadian Association of Chiefs of Police’s annual Operation Impact road safety campaign.

The theme of this year’s campaign is ‘Be a Hero. Aim for Zero.’

If zero Canadians engaged in alcohol-impaired driving, drug-impaired driving, fatigue-impaired driving, distracted driving, aggressive driving and driving without a seatbelt, it could mean zero collisions, zero injuries and zero deaths on Canada’s roads.

Guelph Police Service officers will be conducting increased enforcement across the city throughout the weekend.
