Police are investigating after a man posing as an employee at a south end business walked out Tuesday with a cash register.

Police were called at 7 p.m. to a business in the area of Stone Road West and Scottsdale Drive. An employee reported a male entered the store approximately 15 minutes earlier wearing a shirt bearing the store’s logo. He said hello to employees before unplugging the register and walking out with it and the cash inside.

He was described as a white male, mid-30s, wearing a baseball cap, black shirt with the store logo on it and black pants. He was last seen walking towards Scottsdale Drive.

The incident is under investigation.
