A Guelph man has been arrested after his cousin’s vehicle was stolen and later returned damaged.

On Dec. 23, a vehicle was removed without the owner’s permission from his business on Elizabeth Street. The vehicle was towed back two days later after sustaining front-end damage but the accused would not provide details of what happened.

On Wednesday police were called to the business after the man returned. A 34-year-old Guelph man is charged with taking a motor vehicle without the owner’s consent.
