Fire department responds to fire at Centennial High School

Arriving at the scene, firefighters found a car fully engulfed in flames which had also spread to a nearby storage shed

On Wednesday Oct. 3, 2018, at approximately 2:14 a.m., the Guelph Fire Department responded to a reported fire at 289 College Ave W. Centennial High School.

Arriving at the scene, firefighters found a car fully engulfed in flames which had also spread to a nearby storage shed.

The fire was quickly brought under control and a subsequently extinguished.

There were no injuries to fire fighting personnel.

The cause of the fire, along with a damage estimate, is under investigation by Guelph Fire investigators and the Guelph Police Service at this time.

Thank you to the other agencies assisting on scene which include the Guelph Police Service and Guelph Wellington Paramedic Services.
