Guelph Police beat

Hit and run

On December 22, 2016 at 4:00 p.m., the Guelph Police went to Edinburgh Road near Stone Road for a reported hit and run collision. It is alleged that a blue four door Toyota was rear ended. The responsible vehicle, described as a metallic blue sports car with several young males in the car fled the scene. This vehicle is believed to have sustained damage to the passenger side front corner, including a broken light cover. The driver of the Toyota suffered minor injuries, however declined medical treatment.

Police are looking to speak with the driver of the sports car, or anyone who may have witnessed the collision. Anyone who may have information about this incident is asked to contact  Cst M. Break and enter

On December 22 2016, the Guelph Police went to a Kortright Road West residence to investigate a break and enter. The culprit(s) entered the home sometime between December 18 and December 22. A theft of a 20” RCA TV and an Apple TV box and remotes is reported.

Stolen vehicle

On December 22, 2016 at 8:40 a.m., the Guelph Police received the report that a white 2014 Volkswagon Tiguan, plate# BVJP773 was stolen from a Suffok Street West residence sometime overnight.

Disturbance call leads to arrest

On December 22, 2016 at 7:34 p.m., the Guelph Police investigated a disturbance complaint at a motel on Woodlawn Road West. It was discovered that an involved male had left the area and that this male was on conditions to be in his residence 24 hours a day seven days a week. At 8:50 p.m., the male was located in the parking lot of 11 Woodlawn Road West and was arrested. A subsequent search found a knife in one of his pockets.

The 18-year-old Guelph man has been charged with carry a concealed weapon, breach of probation and two counts of breach of recognizance. He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing on December 23, 2016.

Noise complaint leads to two arrests

On December 23, 2016 at 2:21 a.m., the Guelph Police went to an Alice Street residence for a noise complaint. Police located a male and female at the residence. Investigation discovered that the male was on a condition to not be at this residence and the female was on conditions to abstain from being with this male. Both were arrested.

The 33-year-old Guelph man has been charged with breach of recognizance.

The 28-year-old female has been charged with breach of OIC undertaking.

Both have been held in custody pending a bail hearing on December 23, 2016.
