Bike patrol arrest, traffic stop arrest, calls for service

The following are news releases issued by the Guelph Police Service:

On July 12, 2018 at approximately 9:22 a.m., Guelph Police were on bicycle patrol in the area of the Silvercreek Skate Park.  Guelph Police observed a male in a tent and spoke with him.  Through investigation, it was learned the male was breaching his conditions.  The male was arrested and during a search of the male, Police located was is believed to be oxycodone.

Clay Fry, a 51-year-old Guelph male, was charged with two counts of breaching an undertaking and possession of a controlled substance.  Fry appeared in court on July 12, 2018.

On July 12, 2018 at approximately 10 p.m., Guelph Police observed a truck and trailer combo previously known to them travelling on Woodlawn Road.  Police conducted a traffic stop and spoke with the male driver.

As a result, the male was arrested for breaching his recognizance of bail.  Further to the investigation, the male was charged with seven Highway Traffic Offences as well as a compulsory Automobile Insurance Act offence.

A 66-year-old Guelph male is scheduled to appear in court on July 13, 2018.
