Over the past 24 hours the Guelph Police Service dealt with 237 calls for service

The following news releases were issued today by the Guelph Police Service:

Three arrested on warrants
A 34-year-old Guelph man arrested by O.P.P. on a Guelph warrant for assault. He was turned over to Guelph Police and was held in custody pending a bail hearing.

A 36-year-old Guelph man arrested on a warrant for breach probation. He will appear in court on June 25, 2019.

A 45-year-old Waterloo man arrested by Waterloo Police on a Guelph Provincial offences warrant. He was turned over to Guelph Police. He will appear in court on Junly 17, 2019.

Break and enter
On May 23, 2019, the Guelph Police went to a Wells Street business for the report of a break and enter. At approximately 11:30 p.m., a male gained access to the fenced in yard and caused some property damage. He was last seen leaving west bound on York Road in a motor vehicle.

Break and enter
On May 23, 2019, the Guelph Police went to a Ramona Court residence for the report of a break and enter.  The culprit(s) gained entry to a trailer parked in the driveway and stole tools.

Theft from cars
On May 23, 2019, the Guelph Police received six reports of theft from cars. The locations were Delhi Street, Toronto Street, King Street, Lowes Road, Watson Parkway South and Cardigan Street.

This crime is easily avoidable. Please lock your cars and do not leave belongings visible. If you do become a victim of this crime you can report it through the Guelph Police online reporting portal.
