Girls youth softball coach charged with sexual assault

A Milton man who is a youth girls softball coach in Guelph and Kitchener, has been arrested and charged following a sexual assault investigation

On April 14, officers with the Halton Regional Police Service's Child Abuse and Sexual Assault unit arrested Stephen Jones, 60, and charged him with sexual assault as well as sexual exploitation.

In addition to coaching in Guelph and Kitchener, Jones may have also previously coached in Halton and the victim in the investigation is a youth.

Police believe there may be additional victims and are asking anyone with further information to contact the Child Abuse and Sexual Assault Unit at (905) 825-4777, extension 8970.
