A Guelph couple face charges after a provincial agency was defrauded of more than $120,000.

In April 2022, Guelph police were notified of the alleged fraud by officials with the Ministry of Children and Social Services. It is alleged a woman and her spouse defrauded the ministry by misappropriating funds intended to provide care for her disabled son.

A 49-year-old Guelph woman and 27-year-old Guelph man are jointly charged with fraud over $5,000. The woman is also charged with identity fraud and uttering a forged document.
