Guelph man accused of escaping police custody, resisting arrest

On April 24, 2019 at 10:57 p.m., Guelph Police went to a Willow Road store to deal with an (alleged) intoxicated man causing issues with customers in front of the store. Investigation lead to police attempting to arrest the man. The man resisted and freed himself from police and ran from them. He was located a short time later and arrested.

A 29-year-old Guelph man has been charged with escape lawful custody and resist arrest. He was also charged under the Liquor Licence Act with being intoxicated in a public place. He will appear in court on June 7, 2019.
