Guelph man accused of indecent act, sexual assault at the train station

Police say it happened shortly before 7 p.m. last night

On August 25, 2016 the Guelph Police received the report of a sexual assault on Carden Street.

It is alleged that at 6:50 p.m., a female was waiting for her train outside the Via station. A male approached her, sat next to her and began a conversation.

He then exposed himself and grabbed her arm. She was able to get free from him and move away. Police were called shortly after.

Investigation led to the arrest of the male at 8:40 p.m.

A 26-year-old Guelph man has been charged with sexual assault, indecent act and two counts of breach of probation. He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing on August 26, 2016.
