Guelph man accused of punching hole in police station wall

On Jan. 27, 2019 at approximately 1 a.m., a 24-year-old Guelph male was arrested in the downtown for public intoxication. At the police station, he was provided the opportunity to speak with counsel by phone. During this call, he (allegedly) punched a hole in the wall of the room he was in. Jeffery Brown will appear in court on March 12, 2019 on the charge of mischief under $5,000.

On Jan. 26, 2019 at approximately 6:40 p.m., Guelph Police attended a business on Woodlawn Road after receiving multiple calls about a male fighting with a security person. A 44-year-old Guelph male was arrested for three counts of fraud under $5,000, escape lawful custody, and obstruct peace officer. He will appear in court March 12, 2019.

On Jan. 27, 2019 at approximately 1 a.m., a Guelph cab driver brought a 19-year-old Guelph female to the Guelph Police station because she was highly intoxicated, not dressed for the cold weather conditions and carried no identification. Police made attempts to contact a suitable place for her to go but were not successful. She was arrested for public intoxication.
