Guelph man arrested for repeatedly ramming his car into another vehicle

A Guelph man faces several charges after repeatedly crashing into another vehicle late Tuesday night, report Guelph police.

Shortly before midnight, the Guelph police received several 911 calls regarding a collision in the area of Waterloo Avenue and St. Arnaud Street. Investigation revealed a woman was driving a vehicle pulling a trailer when another vehicle repeatedly rammed her vehicle, destroying the trailer and causing significant damage to her vehicle.

Officers located the subject vehicle at an address in the west end and observed it to be heavily damaged. The drivers are known to each other.

A 31-year-old Guelph man is charged with dangerous driving, assault with a weapon, mischief over $5,000, failing to stop at a collision and breaching a recognizance. He was held for a bail hearing Wednesday.
