A Guelph man is unemployed and facing a criminal charge after stealing a $400 TV from his workplace.

He was working Sunday at the Silvercreek Parkway North business where he worked for approximately two years. He purchased a small food item and obtained a sticker indicating the item had been paid for. Later in the shift he was caught on camera removing the sticker from the food and affixing it to a television, which he later removed from the business through a staff door.

He was fired the next day and returned the TV to the store. A 36-year-old Guelph man is charged with theft under $5,000.
