Guelph man charged after officers respond to weapons call

On April 8, 2020 at 3 p.m., a concerned member of the public notified the Guelph Police Service regarding a suspicious adult male carrying a firearm walking near the intersection of Cork Street West and Yorkshire Street South in the City of Guelph.

Just prior to 3:07 p.m., police located the male and further investigation revealed he was in possession of an air gun and two knives. He was subsequently arrested.

A 25-year-old Guelph male has been charged with:
    •    Weapons dangerous
    •    Carry concealed weapon

He was held in custody pending a bail hearing on April 9.
