Guelph man charged in health benefits fraud investigation

In July 2017, the Guelph Police Service Fraud Unit initiated an investigation into a report of a male making fraudulent health care claims. It is alleged a male collected funds relevant to fraudulently made health care claims to a benefits plan between 2015 and 2016. As a result of these claims, the benefits plan paid out funds in excess of $8,000.

Mukendi Dioka, a 43-year-old Guelph male, was arrested on Friday, Feb. 23, 2018 and charged with fraud over $5,000 and utter forged document. He was given an April 3, 2018 court date.
