On May 31, 2018 at approximately 3:30 p.m., Guelph police were called to the area of Elizabeth and Stevenson Street, where there was a report of an assault in a business.
Investigation alleges that a female employee was working in a business alone, when a male came into the store and sexually assaulted her. The female did not receive any injuries as a result of the assault. Police were able to locate and arrest the suspect.
A 33-year-old Guelph male was charged with sexual assault. He was held for a bail hearing.
