Guelph man faces robbery charge and more

On July 30, 2017 at 11:20 p.m., a male was riding his bicycle on Water Street at McCrae Boulevard, Guelph when he was approached by another male. The male (allegedly) brandished a knife and demanded that the male gives him his bicycle. The victim fled the area on his bicycle and was not injured.

Further investigation revealed that earlier in the evening the same suspect (allegedly) caused damage to two different vehicles that had been parked in the area.

The suspect was located a short time later and was arrested.

A 26-year-old male of no fixed address was charged with robbery, weapons dangerous, two counts of mischief under $5,000 and trespass by night, and held for a bail hearing.
