Guelph man found asleep at the wheel, charged with impaired

On Friday Sept. 28, 2018 at approximately 5 p.m., Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police was dispatched to a vehicle stopped in a live lane of traffic with the driver slumped over the steering wheel on Wellington Road 30, Guelph-Eramosa. Officers attended and observed the vehicle running and in gear and the lone occupant asleep in the driver's seat.

The male driver was transported to a local hospital as a precaution. Once medically cleared the male was arrested for impaired driving and underwent further testing.

20-year-old Logan Bradley Alexander Gray of Guelph has been charged with driving while impaired and driving with over 80 mgs of alcohol in 100mL of blood. A 90-day Administrative Driver's Licence Suspension (A.D.L.S.) and 7-day Vehicle Impoundment was initiated as per statute. He is scheduled to appear in Guelph Criminal Court on Oct. 23, 2018.
