On Aug. 13, 2018, 25-year-old Guelph resident Tanner Mitchell began a Probation Order in regards to the following charges:
• Possession for the purpose – Schedule I x3
• Breach probation order x2
• Breach weapons prohibition
• Possession of stolen property under $5,000
The order contained numerous conditions, including:
• Keep the peace and be of good behaviour
On March 25, 2020, Mitchell entered into a Release Order with the Ontario Court Of Justice in the City of Guelph in regards to the following charges:
• Conspire to traffic Schedule I Substance x2
• Possession for the purpose – Schedule I x2
• Possess prohibited weapon x4
• Breach probation order x2
• Possess weapon while prohibited x6
• Possess property obtained by crime over $5,000 x2
The order contained numerous conditions including:
• Remain in your residence at all times
• Wearing a GPS ankle bracelet at all times
On April 29 at 2:44 a.m., the Guelph Police Service was notified that the ankle bracelet had been removed.
At 3 a.m., officers located the bracelet in two pieces near the intersection of Elizabeth Street and York Road in the City of Guelph.
Mitchell is currently wanted for the following charges:
• Fail to comply with release order x2
• Breach probation
Public Safety is a top priority. If Mitchell is seen, do not approach him and contact the Guelph Police Service immediately.
