Guelph police believe business break-ins are related

In one incident a vehicle was driven into the glass doors to gain entry, in the other a sledgehammer was used

Guelph police are investigating several break and enters believed to be related over the weekend.

On Friday morning, approximately 6:15 a.m., police were dispatched to a burglary at a business on Stone Road West near Edinburgh Road South. Investigation revealed a vehicle drove into the glass front doors to gain entry. The suspects then smashed a display case and stole product as well as a cash register.

After viewing surveillance video, officers believed the involved parties had been involved in break and enters at two Silvercreek Parkway North businesses earlier in the morning. Two parties, believed to be a male and female, entered those business shortly after 5 a.m. by smashing the glass front doors with a sledgehammer.

The first suspect is believed to be a male, approximately six feet tall with a medium build and wearing a black hoodie with white writing, a black and gry checkered scarf, black gloves and black sneakers with white trim. The second is believed to be a female, five-foot-nine with a slim build and wearing a black hoodie with white writing, orange shirt, orange scarf, black pants, grey gloves and a black duffel bag.
