Guelph Police officer charged with discreditable conduct

Will have a hearing under the Police Services Act on Tuesday

A member of the Guelph Police Service has been charged with discreditable conduct.

The officer is a constable. He was not identified, nor was it said what he did to warrant the charge under the Police Services Act.

"The member, who has eighteen years of service with the Guelph Police Service, will appear at a Public Hearing on Tuesday, September 1st 2020 at 10:00 a.m. to answer to the charge," said a news release posted on the police website at 4 p.m. Friday afternoon.

The hearing will take place at the Holiday Inn on Scottsdale Drive, Guelph. Due to restrictions resulting from COVID-19 there is limited capacity at the hearing.
