A Guelph Police Service constable will have an initial hearing Monday in regards to two counts of discreditable conduct.

A Guelph Police news release said the officer, a four-year member of the force, was served a Notice of Hearing pursuant to the Police Services Act alleging two counts of Discreditable Conduct contrary to s. 80(1)(a) of the Act.

No details regarding the nature of the charges were released and it is not immediately known if the officer is still currently on active duty.

"The member, who has four years of service with the Guelph Police Service, will appear at a Public Hearing on Monday, May 25, at 10 a.m. to answer to the charges. Due to the state of emergency that is presently in effect, this hearing will be held remotely by teleconference," said the news release.
