Items were left behind after theft suspect fled police

On Sept. 20, 2020 at 6:28 a.m., members of the Guelph Police Service were dispatched to a residence located near the intersection of Dean Avenue and Gordon Street in the City of Guelph in regards to an adult male going car to car trying door handles.

Police attended the area and soon located the suspicious male sitting inside the driver’s seat of a vehicle parked in the driveway of a nearby residence. Upon seeing police, the male exited the vehicle and fled the area on foot. Police were unable to locate the male.

The male is described as:
    •    Caucasian
    •    5’6 tall
    •    Thin build
    •    Wearing dark clothing

The male left a blue 21 speed GT Transeo hybrid bicycle with gel seat and numerous other pieces of property lying next to the vehicle as he fled the area. Police believe that the property is stolen and would like to return it to its rightful owners.
