Hammer thrown through store window

The owner of a Guelph business was left with a costly repair after someone threw a small hammer through his front window Thursday evening.

Police were called to the business near Speedvale Avenue West and Woolwich Street just before 9 p.m. Officers noted a hole in the glass door approximately 30 centimetres in diameter and a small handle lying inside. No entry to the business was gained.

The business owner estimates the damage at $1,500.
