Hit and run sends pedestrian to hospital with head injury

On Nov. 12, 2019 at approximately 3 a.m., a male was walking southbound on Edinburgh Road South crossing Kortright Road West in the City of Guelph. At the same time, a southbound motor vehicle attempted a left turn onto Kortright Road West from Edinburgh Road South. As a result, the motor vehicle struck the pedestrian, causing the male to be thrown to the centre median. The victim sustained a head injury as well as an injury to his leg in the collision and was treated at a local hospital.

The responsible vehicle fled the scene and is described as a two-door black sedan, possibly a Honda Civic. The vehicle will have notable front end damage and possibly a broken windshield.
