Police report that shortly before 9 p.m., they were called to James Street East where a vehicle had gone off the road and collided with a parked car. Witnesses reported the driver was unsteady on his feet when he exited the vehicle and he was found lying on the ground when officers arrived minutes later.
The man had an odour of alcoholic beverage on his breath and was showing signs of impairment. Breath tests at the police station revealed the man had more than three times the legal amount of alcohol in his system.
