Thursday around 8:30 p.m., Guelph police received two separate calls from concerned members of the public regarding a possible impaired driver.
At 8:45 p.m, police located a man driving near the intersection of Niska Road and Downey Road and conducted a traffic stop.
Police spoke with the man and he subsequently failed a roadside breath test.
A 33-year-old Guelph male has been charged with impaired operation.
His motor vehicle was impounded for seven days and his driver’s license was suspended for 90 days.
