Guelph police are investigating after stolen tools – and the wheeled recycling bin used to haul them away – were recovered Wednesday morning.

A resident in the area of College Avenue West and Dovercliffe Road discovered his garage had been entered after a city employee was asking residents if they were missing their blue bin.

The bin, and a quantity of hand tools inside, were located in front of another residence in the neighbourhood.

The break and enter remains under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call Constable Robert Panek at 519-824-1212, ext. 7286, email him at [email protected], leave an anonymous message for Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS) or leave an anonymous tip online at www.csgw.tips.
