On Tuesday July 24, 2018, at approximately 2:30 p.m., a Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police officer was monitoring traffic on the Hanlon Expressway, Guelph. The officer observed a male driving a black SUV at a speed that appeared to be well above the posted 80 km/h speed limit. The vehicle was locked on radar in excess of 165 km/h, exceeding the posted speed limit by at least 85 km/h (double plus the limit.)

31-year-old Jean Pierre Oriundo Pardo of Toronto has been charged with racing a motor vehicle contrary to the Highway Traffic Act and is scheduled to appear in Guelph Provincial Court on Aug. 7, 2018. His driver's licence and vehicle were seized for a period of seven days as per statute. 

Caution to drivers that if you get caught racing; the road ahead will be rough. Automatic tow and suspensions included with each stunt driving or + 50 over charge.
