A Guelph man faces assault and weapons charges after a knife was pulled during a dispute downtown Thursday morning, Guelph police report.
Approximately 6:20 a.m. police were called to the area of Carden Street and Macdonell Street. A woman reported she had confronted a man she believed stole some of her property, and he had pulled a knife which he pointed at her while uttering threats.
The man was still in the area and was arrested. A 21-year-old is charged with assault with a weapon, possessing a weapon for a dangerous purpose, uttering death threats and three counts of breaching court orders.
