NEWS RELEASE
GUELPH POLICE SERVICE

Emergency Service workers rally together to answer the urgent call to save lives.

The need for blood has been increased to urgent at this time, and the local emergency services are working together to save even more lives.

Emergency service workers in the City of Guelph and Wellington County are answering the call to help save more lives as part of this summer’s Sirens for Life campaign, and Canadian Blood Services is asking local residents to also lend their arm by donating blood in support of their local emergency services teams.

Emergency service workers often see the need for blood firsthand. Just one person who is seriously injured in a car crash could need as many as 50 blood donations to help save their life. In the City of Guelph and Wellington County alone our goal for this year’s Siren’s campaign is 75 units of blood. In addition, we have a goal to recruit 30 new donors for this campaign.

All Emergency services will be coming together to kick off the campaign at the Guelph blood donor clinic on June 28.

Who: Emergency Services Leaders
When: Thursday, June 28 at 3 p.m.
Where: Guelph Blood Donor Clinic, 130 Silvercreek Pkwy. N., Guelph

Emergency service leaders of Guelph and Wellington County will be on hand to donate blood and kick off the Sirens for Life Campaign
