Local man facing 11 charges following vehicle theft

On Nov. 23, a 2015 Dodge Journey was stolen from a Kathleen Street residence and in the vehicle was the owner’s wallet. Banking cards from the wallet were later used to purchase merchandise at two different locations. The vehicle has since been recovered. 

On the morning of Dec. 11, the involved male was located at a Carden Street apartment and arrested. The 23-year-old Guelph male is charged with a total of 11 criminal charges including possession of stolen property, use stolen credit card, identity fraud and breach of probation. He was held in custody and will appear in bail court today.
