A Guelph man already charged with breaking into six south end businesses is now charged with a seventh.
On Dec. 4, just after 5 a.m., a restaurant on Stone Road West was entered after someone threw a rock through the front window. A cash register containing a quantity of cash was stolen.
The next day, police executed a search warrant at a residence on College Avenue West and arrested a man on six counts of break and enter. Two days later police reviewed video of the Stone Road West incident and recognized the suspect.
On Monday a 50-year-old man was arrested during a court appearance on the earlier six charges. He now faces a seventh count of break and enter. The man remains in custody and will next appear in court Jan. 5.
