Male charged after downtown church vandalized

Police say the window of a church was broken, causing $500 in damage

Wednesday at 3:08 a.m., an adult male allegedly broke the bottom window of a door to a church located near the downtown core by kicking it, causing $500 in damage, report Guelph police.

At 10:25 a.m. police located the male in the area and he was subsequently arrested.

A 24-year-old Guelph male has been charged with:
- mischief under $5,000
- breach of probation

He will appear in court on Dec. 14.
