Male charged with trashing washroom of downtown business

A Peterborough male was arrested early Tuesday after the washroom of a downtown Guelph establishment was extensively damaged.

Approximately 1:15 a.m. police were called to a business in the area of Carden Street and Wyndham Street North. Staff had detained a male after he was observed damaging sinks and smashing mirrors inside a bathroom.

A 21-year-old Peterborough male is charged with mischief under $5,000. He will appear in a Guelph court Dec. 21.
