What started as an argument over chores ended in several charges for a Guelph man, after he allegedly held a knife to a female’s throat.
Police were called to a home in the area of Gordon Street and Hands Drive shortly before noon on Sunday, in response to a roommate dispute that turned violent, explains a police news release. A female reported a folding knife was pulled out and held to her throat as death threats were made.
Police found the man still inside the residence. A folding knife was seized, the release notes.
No physical injuries were reported.
A 45-year-old man is charged with assault with a weapon, possessing a prohibited weapon and uttering threats.
