On Sunday, Guelph police reported an assault on a 13-year-old by an unknown person.
Investigation lead to the suspect’s identify. On Tuesday at approximately 7:30 a.m., police located the suspect and arrested him.
A 44-year-old Guelph man was charged with assault and breach of probation. He was released with a January 2023 court date.
Police previously reported that on Sunday the 13-year-old Guelph youth was downtown when confronted by an unknown male. This male suddenly assaulted him by striking him on the shoulder.
