Man arrested and charged with stealing a wallet containing more than $3,000

A Guelph man was arrested Monday, 10 days after a significant amount of cash was reported stolen from a vehicle outside a business, say police.

On March 18, a vehicle was entered while parked outside the business in the area of Woolwich Street and Speedvale Avenue West. The victim reported more than $3,000 stolen from a wallet. The theft was caught on video.

A 39-year-old Guelph male was identified from the video and was arrested Monday morning. He is charged with theft under $5,000.
