On Feb. 3, 2017 at approximately 12:40 a.m., a 20-year-old intoxicated male was causing a disturbance at the downtown Transit Hub by impeding patrons from leaving a bus.
City of Guelph By-law Enforcement Officers attempted to speak with the male who then attempted to assault those officers.
Police were called to intervene and arrested Ali Zakaria of Guelph for causing a disturbance and assaulting a peace officer. He was released and is to appear before the court on Mar. 14, 2017.
