Man arrested in connection with historic break-ins

A Sault Ste Marie man has been arrested in relation to two break and enters in Guelph five years ago, Guelph police report.

On January 16, 2018, two men broke into the laundry rooms at apartment buildings on Julia Drive and Silvercreek Parkway North. A quantity of coins were stolen.

One of the men was arrested a short time later. The second man was arrested Wednesday when he appeared in a Guelph court on an unrelated matter.

A 46-year-old Sault Ste Marie man is charged with two counts of break and enter and breaching a probation order. He will appear in a Guelph bail court in February.
